Infant Program:
Welcome to the Academy's Infant program. This program is designed for newborns to 1 year of age. The Academy provides "developmental care" for your infant in a warm, nurturing environment, while accommodating his/her every need. Our curriculum is planned with ample activities.such as, various music, baby sign, and movement, to stimulate and nurture your infant. At the Academy, your infant will be cared for by loving and experienced educators, that provide an abundance of opportunities to develop social, physical, and intellectual skills. If the weather permits, the infants will go outside for fresh air at least twice a day to explore the elements. Our goals for the Infant program at the Academy are to provide each infant with a sense of emotional security through personal interactions on a daily basis, and to create the optimim environment with experiences that will allow each child to develop at his/her own pace.
Young Toddlers:
Welcome to The Academy’s Young Toddler program. This sensory-based program is designed for 1-2 year olds. A toddler’s imagination and curiosity gives them great energy and creative potential. The Academy creates an environment to develop and express these capabilities through exploration, questioning, and discovery. Twice daily, your child will have the opportunity to play on our newly renovated play zone. This are provides each child with a safe and secure environment that will enhance his/her opportunity to physically progress. The Academy’s Young Toddler program has a strong social element, which encourages intellectual and emotional growth.
Older Toddlers:
Welcome to The Academy’s Older Toddler 2-3 year old program. Your toddler has reached an extremely active, independent stage of development. Our older toddler curriculum is designed with your active learner in mind. The Academy’s experienced teachers will guide your toddler in developing social relationships and understanding his/her own feelings. The older toddler schedule allows for repetition of newly acquired skills to foster independence and stimulate your child’s desire to learn. We begin to introduce pre-reading, writing, and math skills through letter, number, shape, and color recognition, while allowing ample play time, both in classroom centers and on our renovated play areas. Our goal for the older toddler program is to create a comprehensive developmental curriculum to meet the needs of each child in a stress-free environment.
NEW THIS YEAR!!!
The infants and toddlers will participate in an innovative language program. While listening to CD's that speak French, Spanish, German, Italian and Chinese, your child will learn multiple languages more easily and quickly before the age of 3 years. Your child will learn colors, body parts, animals and more. This program focuses on concepts and objects infants and toddlers can comprehend.
